I’m Ben, founder of Helm. I spent 7 years at sea as a marine technician in the Royal Australian Navy. From there, I moved into the material handling industry before taking on over 15 years in oil & gas — doing everything from hands-on field work to senior leadership and commissioning. I’ve managed major shutdowns, helped local marine businesses, and even refitted my own sailing catamaran. I’ve lived it — and I know what works in the real world.
